UPnP Wizard – Useful and Free Port Mapping Tool
Offered by XL Development for the great price of free, UPnP Wizard can prove to be a very useful port mapping tool. Here’s what you can expect to get from it: view all port mappings for your router; view detailed mapping information; create new port forwarding rules; remove existing rules.
The requirements for running UPnP Wizard are: Windows operating system (pretty much any Windows edition you can think of); UPnP-enabled router (UPnP Wizard works with most routers that support UPnP). A setup wizard will take you through all the steps you need to take to get UPnP Wizard up and running on a PC that meets these system requirements.
The main panel on UPnP Wizard’s interface presents a list of port mappings. The list covers the following details: name, internal and external IP address, protocol (TCP or UDP), internal port, external port. Above this main panel there’s a toolbar that features the following five buttons:
Refresh – refresh the list of port mappings.
Add – add new port mapping to the list.
Delete – delete port mapping from the list.
Info – select an item from the list to view additional mapping details.
About – see what UPnP Wizard version you’re running.
UPnP Wizard, as mentioned above, is offered by its developer for the great price of free. You won’t have to part with your hard earned money to enjoy the functionality this tool has to offer: view port mappings, access detailed mapping info, configure port forwarding rules.
